The Social Security Administration (SSA) provides support and oversight to day care centers operating on SSA's premises.  The Woodlawn and Metro West centers are operated by Secur-A-Kiddie Center, Inc, a non-profit corporation, which is part of the larger non-profit Social Security Employees' Activities Association, Inc (EAA).

Recently, SSA established a Nonprofit Child Care Board of Directors, made up of parents and interested members of the community to provide oversight to the Child Care Centers in Woodlawn and Metro West. SSA also conducted a survey of the parents and guardians who use these centers. The Board has received numerous requests for the result of the child care survey.
